This view finder is an alternative for the normal view finder found in Aquatica camera housings. You may order your camera housing factory fitted with this view finder, or alternatively, you may purchase this view finder as a later replacement for the normal view finder on Aquatica camera housings (all models since 2008).

The view finder allows viewing 100% (corner to corner) of the camera’s view finder from a top angle. This is suitable for macro photography and other shooting scenarios where the phographer prefers to keep him/herself above the camera. This also facilitates swimming in perfect horizontal trim and still being able to easily utilize the camera’s optical view finder for framing the shots.

Product Description

The Aqua View 45 finder allows seeing 100% of the camera’s view finder with a bright and crisp image from corner to corner. The view finder has been designed to be as unobstructive as possible but allowing a convenient and comfortable angle of view from above the camera. It is possible to adjust The Aqua View Finder to one’s eyesight by using the eyesight adjustments of the camera itself. However for videography purposes, depending on the angle of view, the view finder might partially block viewing the Live View of the camera back LCD.

The optics of the view finder is built of high-quality BK-7 coated glass elements. The viewfinder external casing is machined from aeronautical quality aluminium, anodized and with powder coating for protection against salt water corrosion. The Aqua View 45 is rated to depths of up to a minimum of 90 meters and has been built to go way beyond this depth rating.

Removal of the finder from the housing is recommended for travel purposes and long-term storage. This can be done in 30 seconds.

As of September 2013 and according to the manufacturer, the following Aquatica camera housings are compatible with this view finder:

  • Canon 5D Mk II and Canon 5D Mk III. (The view finder is not compatible with the earlier Canon 5D housing.)
